Services
Termite Control
Our termite control services use industry-leading Termidor SC termiticide for liquid injection treatments, combined with annual inspections and moisture correction. We identify active infestations through comprehensive perimeter checks and crawl space evaluations. Customers receive guaranteed treatments and maintenance plans to prevent future infestations while protecting property values across Hampton Roads.
Pest Control
Comprehensive pest control addresses ants, roaches, bed bugs, and rodents using targeted treatments and preventive maintenance. Our technicians create customized plans for quarterly or monthly services, focusing on entry-point sealing and habitat elimination. Commercial clients receive specialized solutions for warehouses, restaurants, and multi-unit complexes to maintain pest-free environments.
Moisture Management
Moisture control services include crawlspace vapor barriers, dehumidifier installation, and fungal remediation. We address wood-destroying fungus through fungicide treatments and ventilation adjustments to improve indoor air quality. Our solutions prevent structural damage while eliminating pest-attracting environments in coastal Virginia's humid climate.
TAP Insulation
TAP Insulation combines thermal efficiency with pest control benefits by applying borate-treated cellulose to attics. This eco-friendly solution reduces energy bills by 20-38% while repelling insects and eliminating odors. Our team removes contaminated insulation and installs R-19 standards for improved home efficiency and pest resistance.
Structural Repairs
Structural repair services restore damage from termites, moisture, and rodents with licensed carpentry teams. We replace compromised flooring, joists, and insulation while adding secondary support systems. Our in-house contractors handle crawl space door replacements and pier installations to reinforce home substructures during termite or moisture remediation projects.

Last year, one of mine (new year's resolution) and my husbands was to look at ways to reduce our costs around the house so we decided to give a call to our friend Harry Sharpley at Colonial Exterminating to evaluate our insulation in the attic and indeed we were on the low side. The insulation that Colonial added (complete with pest control properties) has reduced our air and heating bills significantly in the last year. We are very glad we did it and I'd recommend it to anyone concerned about the high cost of heating/cooling your home.

I have been with Colonial for over 20 years. I won't say they are 100% perfect, but they have ALWAYS treated me fair and right! I had a mouse problem once and they responded better than I expected. I get a recurring ant problem but I live on land that was a forest mixed with swamp. Ants are not the worst problem I could have considering that. If the ants come, Colonial gets me treated in a very timely manner.
Usually when we get rain after a dry spell so I'm sure when I have ants coming in, there are several people with the same issue! I'm not much for "Brand Loyalty" so if I've stayed with someone for 20+ years, you know they are doing something right! Note: I only tagged the services they have done for me.

They replaced the moisture barrier under the house, built a new access door for the crawl, and eliminated access into my attic. James and Jay did an excellent and conscientious job on all of these services. I really appreciated their professional service and conscientious approach to the work. They also got me a price for some additional work, and I hope they are assigned to do it! This includes a treatment under the house for insects, and replacement vents for the crawl.
