Wood Decaying Fungi

The third type of wood destroying organism is Wood-Decaying Fungi also known as WDF. WDF is caused by water damage, most likely from a leak in the roof, gutters, plumbing leaks, leaking windows and doors, cracks in exterior surfaces and poor drainage from exterior grading. Wood Decaying Fungi can cause the wood to deteriorate and can be a desirable feeding area for termites if not treated or repaired.
