Hired Kil-Mor to spray my house in August because they were the only exterminator in the area that didn't demand a one year contract for quarterly treatments. We wanted the job done once and done correctly. Unfortunately, we never really saw our bug problem go away, and after a month it was actually worse. When we called to explain what was happening we were told that our "30 day warranty" had expired and if they came back out, it would be another $115. OR we could sign up for quarterly treatments and save a few bucks! Unbelievable. Here's the lesson: Never hire an exterminator that only guarantees their work for a month. They're basically spraying sugar water around your house.

My landlord uses Kil-Mor for pest control, and they have turned out to be a big disappointment. Definitely call around the area for a better service. To elaborate: My house had a pretty bad flea problem. This company came and treated with professional-grade flea bombs, saying this would "solve the problem." More than a month later, the fleas remained.

When I tried to have Kil-Mor come for follow-up treatments, they were hard to get a hold of. When they did come to the house, the technician couldn't answer my questions. Once, a technician came to the house and said he would need to spray. He then told me he would need to do an additional bug bomb, but didn't tell me I would need to leave the house.

Right before he was about to perform the procedure, he said: "you need to leave the house for at least an hour right now." Seems like information you'd need to know more than 30 seconds beforehand! I so wished my landlord had used another company, and I suggest you shop around before committing to this group.

I found out that Kil-Mor was coming for my termite inspection on a day when I had a doctor's appointment. I called to see if there was any way they could get to my place a bit earlier in the rotation. The woman with whom I spoke was amazing. She was courteous and friendly, and she offered to put my place first on the rotation so I could make my appointment. Great customer service is not dead - it's at Kil-Mor.

I'm in a giving mood today and I just wanted to write a few good words about KilMor. I have been under a quarterly service rotation with them for years, at least 5, if not more. I work out of town and these guys have my account marked to set me up at my available time, and they are always on time. Always pleasant technicians. Always helpful young women answering the phones.

Every single time, every quarter, for years. Only once have I seen crawlies between treatments, and they came back and retreated at no charge. I can count on 2 hands the number of insects that have shown up in my home. And except for that one time, they have all been upside down, dead on their backs, with their disgusting multi-legs sticking up in surrender. The icing on the cake? My price has never gone up.

We have used Kil-Mor pest control for three homes and nearly 14 years. We have been extremely pleased with their professional and friendly personnel that perform the service quarterly, their billing and office staff and their scheduling methodology - i.e. pre-set day each quarter (i.e. 2nd Wed first month of the quarter). Whenever we have had a "flare up" or pest event between services, they have always been prompt and responsive to perform an extra treatment free of charge. Pest control is a necessary expense when you own a home in North Carolina - and I've been very pleased over the years with Kil-Mor as our pest solution. Highly recommend.

Recommended by our real estate agent for pest control. and ever since moving downtown we've seen some pesky critters that I haven't heard from since college apartment era. Ah, city life(?) We've been meaning to get a termite prevention service going; have one of those historic houses with a basement, so it's a little more prone than the cement-slab last home we were in.

Finally got around to signing up with these guys. And since I'm seriously SERIOUSLY spider-adverse (as in: almost caused a car pileup when I knocked a spider off my arm, but couldn't figure out where it landed, while driving. My husband hasn't seen me scream and cry like that since, well, never.), we had them spray the house as well.

They were very prompt -- actually arrived for their appointment before I got home from an appointment of my own. But I'd left the basement unlocked, in case, and Jason had already gotten to work with the termite inspection. He then sprayed the exterior to prevent scary spiders (also repels ants, roaches, and other icky creepy crawlies). Great, thorough job from what I could tell. And I haven't seen a bug yet. Judging by the reviews here, the service is pretty effective -- so I hope I won't be seeing a bug for the next three months!

When I was buying my house, it was found upon inspection to have a termite issue. In all likelihood, the seller picked Kil-Mor to take care of the termites because they were willing to do spot-treatment rather than the proper full-house treatment. Needless to say, the spot-treatment did not resolve the problem, and they wanted a lot more money to do the full treatment. Kil-Mor also gave me the run-around about trying to obtain a copy of the termite bond (insurance, transferred to me) on the work they had done for the seller.

After hearing multiple times that it was in the mail, they finally faxed it to me when I told them they needed to do it now. Since I wasn't about to trust them after all of that, I called Orkin to come and do the complete treatment.

We've used Kil Mor when we had a house up in Durham, and now when we have a townhouse in Cary. Through the years they've always had great service, able to come out any time if bugs or pests come back during the 3 months between sprays. The last service my husband just mentioned we had some mice and they happened to have some mouse packets in the truck to take care of those too. It's nice they take credit card, and they're always on time. They serve like 10 different counties too.
